  • SkyTab Online orders flow directly into POS and kitchen. No extra tablets or devices needed.
  • Enable Takeout/Delivery in the Takeout/Delivery tab settings.
  • Orders from online ordering, phone-in, and walk-in all route to the same KDS queue.
  • Use Order and Call Numbers for unified numbering across kitchen/bar slips.

Kitchen Routing

KDS receives orders instantly. No paper chase.

  • KDS receives orders instantly. No paper tickets unless you want backup printers.
  • Configure KDS per station: assign specific items/modifiers each KDS shows.
  • KDS Multi-Stage Fulfillment routes tickets between stations (prep, assembly, expo).
  • KDS Prep Times set item-specific timing guidance for consistent completion.

Multi-stage means a taco goes from grill to assembly to expo without anyone yelling.
Passo 3

Expo Check

Verify everything before it hits the shelf.

  • Expo station verifies: all items present, modifiers correct, packaging right.
  • Use KDS bump to confirm order complete.
  • Print a receipt stapled to the bag (receipt printer at expo).
  • This is where 90% of takeout errors get caught. Skip it and you'll comp meals.

Shelf System

Organized by time. Labeled by name. No guessing.

  • Label each shelf slot with order number + customer name.
  • Organize by pickup time window (downloadable shelf labels included).
  • SMS notifications via SkyTab Online let customers know when their order is ready.
  • Color-code by channel: online = blue label, phone = yellow, walk-in = white.

Pickup Handoff

Confirm, hand off, done. Under 30 seconds.

  • Staff confirms name + order number before handing off.
  • Customer-facing display can show 'Order Ready' status for walk-ins.
  • For curbside: SkyTab Mobile lets staff bring POS outside for final payment or confirmation.
  • Track pickup times to identify bottlenecks and adjust staffing.
