Failover & Backup

Designate a failover printer in settings. If primary goes offline, backup auto-takes over.
Kitchen printers serve as KDS fallback if display goes down.
Currently available for SkyTab Air and Pilot users (expanding).

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Printers cannot be deleted once added to SkyTab POS. You can only deactivate them using the Active toggle.
No. The cash drawer connects to the receipt printer via RJ-12 cable (daisy-chain), not directly to the POS terminal.
Designate a failover printer in settings. If the primary goes offline, the backup takes over automatically. Kitchen printers also serve as KDS fallback if the display goes down.
No. Fulfillment printers must be network-connected. USB-only connections won't work for this role.
Tip hint percentages are configured on the receipt printer settings (Manager > Hardware > Printers/KDS > [receipt printer]).
